Monday Day 2 & Workday #1

 by Cammy Brantzeg

It was a busy first day.  Our projects today included:

  1. We worked on removing the tile flooring from the kitchen in the Mosaic Community Center.
  2. We worked on adding shade fabric triangles over the playground.
  3. We added netting to prevent balls from breaking the windows.
  4. We prepared sample crafts and prepped for Mosaic's afterschool program on Friday.
I just added a bunch of pictures for you to see our progress.

Group photo before we started with the Mosaic staff.  We joined the Mosaic Monday morning devotion at 8:30 am this morning but I didn't take a photo of that.  :-)

This will be easier. I was wrong — very wrong. South Africa is breathtaking. The spring sunshine, the vast skies, and the warmth of the people fill my heart with joy. But once the work began, I quickly realized that beauty and heartbreak often coexist. Day Two: From Laughter to Heartache  This morning started peacefully, with connection and joy. Last night we had learned more deeply about the mission of Ma’s of Wellington — a remarkable organization serving the preschoolers of this community with love, education...
